Gaiter Matthew (whose husband Michael Matthew also owns Earlyrise Publications-- the company responsible for producing that "Handbag of the Fabulous" book) has a public record-- she filed for Chapter 7 BANKRUPTCY on March 2005, at the US bankruptcy court in Maryland, Baltimore. It was a jointly filed case.

I understand fully that you are dissatisfied and would like some answers and a resolution as quickly and easily as possible. My ultimate goal is to assist and work with you fully in order to resolve this situation. That is my goal and we do hope that resolving this is your foremost goal as well. I will answer any questions and respond to any comments that you may have. We extend the opportunity to fully discuss your complaints further and thoroughly now and in the future.
The next step that we would like for you to take into consideration is for our company to do a thorough investigation regarding your claims. Please understand, that while our policies state that all sales are final and there are no refunds or exchanges whatsoever, we value and care about our clients and your opinion. We do not want you as a client to be dissatisfied. For this reason, we would like to proceed further and make every attempt to resolve this fully. This is not some conspiracy. You and many others have dealt with us before with successful results. We have, to date, never received any complaints regarding authenticity in the 5-years that this company has been operating. You placed this email from Haley's Couture to say what exactly? From reading it, it seems their clients have been able to get their birkins serviced at Hermes accordingly. It also mentions the company's willingness to work further with you if you actually returned the birkin. Why did you decide to hold onto it? I assume you still have it and this blog is still accurate. It must have been a really nice bag if you kept it in the end of all of this. This just sounds like a workable deal gone sour.
